
Nambucca Heads is just 15 minutes drive from accommodation at Aquarelle Bed and Breakfast south along the Pacific Highway. A pleasant stop along the way for the mid-morning coffee and snack is the Headland Café in the small community of Valla Beach.
Macksville sits beside the banks of the Nambucca River a further 10 minutes down the highway. A few kilometers south of Macksville is the turn-off to Scotts Head.
Bowraville is a small village about 10 kilometers west of both Nambucca Heads and Macksville that provides a stopping point on a scenic loop road away from the Pacific Highway between the two towns.
